Flor de Maria Rivera was born in Peru and migrated at the age of 14 with her family to the United States. You may know her from her stints as a TV host, style and beauty expert or maybe from her days as an MLS publicist.
Rivera attended the University of San Diego, and soon after began a career in media as a sports anchor, reporter, producer, commentator and writer for multiple media outlets including Telemundo, Univision and much more. After being in the sports world for 12 years, she quit her job, launched a very successful bilingual fashion blog, moved to NYC without any employment prospects, but full of dreams.
After many years on the hunt for the perfect pair of shoes—collecting almost 500 pairs, she decided to create her own shoe line. Her never-ending search for great quality, style, versatility and comfort has transitioned into her own designs. Rivera went on to study at one of Italy’s top design schools, Arsutoria, as well as an entrepreneurship at Stanford University. She took a leap of faith and the rest is history! The Flor de Maria line has been inspired by the fearless females in her life, she calls, “her Queens.”
